Mariel Mercado-Guevara is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience representing clients in complex insurance defense and coverage matters. She handles a wide range of litigation involving general liability, premises liability, transportation, hospitality, construction defects, and New York Labor Law claims. Her practice also includes insurance coverage analysis, risk transfer issues, and strategic dispute resolution.

Mariel manages cases through every stage of litigation, from initial pleadings and discovery to motion practice, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation. She has substantial experience taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing motions, preparing coverage opinions, and developing litigation strategies that help clients effectively manage risk and control costs.

Recognized for her collaborative approach and strong leadership skills, Mariel has mentored attorneys, paralegals, and support staff while managing complex caseloads across multiple jurisdictions. Before pursuing a legal career, Mariel was a professional opera singer who performed with nationally recognized opera companies.
