Biography
Dan Johnston is a seasoned attorney with a diverse legal background. He began his career as criminal prosecutor in the Nassau County District Attorney's Office before transitioning to private practice, where he has concentrated on fraud, personal injury, and commercial litigation. His "outside the box" strategies and aggressive approach, while exercising the highest level of ethical standards, puts his services in high demand, and Dan has generated outsized results for his clients. This has included obtaining numerous victories in pro-active actions against bad actors and saving clients hundreds of millions of dollars in fighting fraudulent claims. Dan was the first attorney in New York to bring a successful RICO action on behalf of an out-of-state cannabis company, in a direct suit against a nationwide law firm, its managing partner, and a nationwide financial network following an entirely self-directed and intensive nationwide investigation - while he was a solo practitioner. His work on that case was replicated and formed the basis of numerous subsequent identical actions brought by large commercial litigation firms.
