Biography
R.J. Blue has had an extensive 20-year career as an insurance defense attorney. He has diverse experience with a focus on complex civil litigation. As first chair, he has litigated and tried cases involving personal injury, automobile accidents, commercial trucking and transportation, construction defects, product liability, medical malpractice, first-party insurance claims, fraud, deceptive trade practices and breach of contact. He has resolved numerous cases involving unique legal issues uncommon in the field of insurance defense, including using the loss of consciousness as a defense to negligence and foreseeability concerning wrongful death and civil immunity for the justifiable use of deadly force. R. J. Blue has written and taught multiple courses on evidence utilization, trial technology, jury selection, damages, and the use of persuasive psychology during trial. He is also Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
