Biography
Adam Gallegos is an experienced and battle-tested trial attorney who represents insurance companies, policyholders, and businesses (ranging from sole proprietorships to large corporations. His practice includes personal injury and insurance defense, trucking accidents, commercial litigation, insurance coverage issues (including first-party insurance litigation and insolvent insurers), and appellate practice. Adam also heads up the firm’s Emergency Response Team, providing immediate investigative services and legal assistance for large-scale accidents. He is an active member of the Insurance Law section of the State Bar of Texas where he works with others to stay abreast of the latest developments in insurance law. Adam is also an active Texas Association of Defense Counsel member, working with other defense-oriented attorneys to advocate for fair courts and justice for civil defendants.
In late 2022, Adam was lead counsel for a large trucking company and its driver in a tragic case involving a drunk driver crashing head-on into the truck, killing that driver and critically injuring her nine-year-old son. In the ensuing trial, the plaintiffs accused the defendants of negligence for failing to swerve out of the drunk driver’s way and requested over $160 million in damages. Adam obtained a full defense verdict with the jury placing 100% responsibility on the drunk driver (Lorenzo Medina, Individually and as Next Friend of Mason Alexavier Medina, and Priscilla Reyes, Individually and as Representative of the Estate of Vanessa Reyes, Deceased v. Stagecoach Cartage and Distribution, L.L.C. and Adrian Parada, No. 20-12-13947-DCVAJA, 365th Judicial District Court, Dimmit County, Texas). Adam also recently obtained a favorable verdict for a driver involved in a minor crash where the Plaintiff asked for more than $1.6 million in damages and received less than $100,000 (Daniel Charles Stein v. Larry David Sneed, No. 471-04263-2021, 471st Judicial District Court, Collin County, Texas).
